Literally Period.

Literally, Period is a nonprofit application designed to help users identify harmful chemicals in menstrual products and promote transparency within the period care industry. Many pads and tampons contain harsh, unregulated ingredients because they are not classified as medical devices, posing risks to consumer health. Using barcode scanning, Literally, Period allows users to see exactly what chemicals are in their products, whether they are safe or dangerous, and to read community reviews. Beyond education, the app fosters a sense of community for those with periods and offers affordable subscription boxes featuring clean, tested products. All profits are reinvested into third-party testing and product donations, ensuring that accurate information and safe period products are accessible to everyone—because period care should be free, transparent, and safe.

echoes of tomorrow (1).png

Echoes of Tomorrow

Echoes of Tomorrow is an interactive media installation that merges audience participation with the natural beauty of Stratford’s ecosystem. Visitors engage with the project by scanning a QR code that leads them to a website where they answer randomized questions about Stratford's community issues. Their responses dynamically alter a projected environment, visually depicting how small actions can collectively improve or degrade the ecosystem.

Inspired by the work of Spaling and Smit, as well as Aldo Leopold's philosophy of ecological interconnectedness, the project highlights how personal choices ripple through and shape the environment. Presented at the Lights on Stratford Festival, Echoes of Tomorrow supports Stratford's Climate Action Plan by visualizing the impact of conservation efforts on the city's green spaces. It bridges the digital and natural worlds, inviting citizens to reflect on their relationship with the ecosystem and collaborate to protect Stratford’s wildlife. An accompanying mobile application further enriches the experience, showcasing Stratford’s environmental history and the effects of human activity over time.
